Company Description

We are a small folk art museum, located in the heart of Central Florida, featuring 19 historical buildings. Our main goal is to educate our guests about the life skills of pioneers and early settlers in Florida. For more than 40 years we have offered educational programs to area schools and have produced special events with that goal in mind. Our events highlight historical demonstrations in the traditional crafts of weaving, spinning, blacksmithing, woodworking and much more as well as featuring traditional music.

We are located close to the beautiful St. Johns river and short drives can take you to the beaches at Daytona Beach or to the Ocala National Forest with its many hiking trails. The attractions in Orlando are within easy reach and local parks invite you to enjoy Florida’s many outdoor activities.
