Tennessee: Volunteer Day Use Host – US Army Corps of Engineers, Dale Hollow Lake. Beautiful family-oriented park seeking adult single or couple for resident day use volunteer host. The location is Obey River Park Day Use in Byrdstown, TN. This position is currently available and extends to September of 2024. Duties include overseeing a very busy day use area, instructing guests how to use the automated pay station, checking vehicle paid status in lot, issuing loaner life jackets, and providing visitor information and assistance. Office provided. This position will coordinate with another volunteer to ensure maximum coverage of the area, including holiday work. *Volunteer site does not have sewer, but a dump station is in proximity. Volunteer hours, 20 hours a week, traded for site with utilities and opportunity to live in the park during volunteer term. The resident site is included with water and electric. The site does not have sewer, but a dump station is in proximity. Laundry in the park is included and free Wi-Fi is available near the registration center.
