Job Description

Twin Lakes Resort is a rustic lakeside resort with cabins, an RV Park, restaurant, store, and boat rentals. Located 45 minutes outside of Bend Oregon, and just off the Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway, we’re the doorway to endless opportunities for outdoor adventure.

Housing: We have full or partial RV hookups available for employees, and only 2 bedrooms left in our shared housing (one single occupancy, one double occupancy). Due to housing limitations, partner applicants with their own RV will be given preferential consideration. Housing costs vary from approximately $1/day to $8/day depending on the accommodations, however upon completion of your work agreement all housing costs are gifted back to each employee as a bonus. Pets are only considered for employees living in their own RV.

Line Cook
Duration: May 25 – September 30
Pay: $13-14/hr plus tips
Reports to: Chef
We are looking for team players with a positive attitude and the ability to get along with a diverse group of humanity. Candidate must be able to multitask, stand 8+ hours at a time, lift 50+ lbs, have knowledge of safe knife practices, portion controlling, and the ability to follow specific recipes. We strive to keep a clean, sanitized work area throughout the shift as well as practicing a deep clean at the end of the day. Following food safety procedures by labeling products, properly rotating stock, and meticulous hand washing is required. Previous restaurant experience required and line and prep cooking experience preferred. Must acquire an Oregon food handler card within two weeks of hiring.

Other Requirements
Being a team player is essential to fostering an environment where employees trust each other. While each individual is hired for a particular role, we expect all employees to be willing to pitch in where necessary to help their teammates, whether the tasks are directly related or wholly unrelated to the job you were hired for.  As such, we require all employees to be physically able to do the following.

  • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • The ability to move safely over uneven terrain
  • The ability to be walking or standing for long portions of the day
  • The ability to safely climb ladders
  • The ability to work in extreme weather
  • The ability to respond quickly to sounds and to see and respond to dangerous situations
  • The ability to wear appropriate PPE (masks, gloves) correctly for the duration of your shift
  • The ability to operate a work vehicle or UTV, with a valid drivers license

Throughout the season and especially early and late in the season, employees may be asked to perform functions outside of their normal roles, such as participating in groundskeeping projects (pine needle clean-up, debris removal, etc), participating in maintenance projects (painting, staining, sealing, etc) and cabin cleaning.

We’re very proud that during our 2020 season, we operated in a way that kept every employee healthy (no staff Covid cases) AND we were able to keep every promise of employment that we made. No employee was laid off or had their hours reduced. While we are hopeful that the 2021 season will see some return to normalcy, we are confident in our ability to operate in this environment.
