Experience the summer in small town America. Enjoy the mild climate at 6000 feet surrounded by beautiful mountains in the heart of Utah’s Golden Circle of National Parks.
Work your own hours at your own pace in the friendly environment of a shady tree lined RV park. Enjoy lots of recreational opportunities including fishing, hiking, biking, off roading, star gazing and everything else this wonderful area has to offer.
In addition to helping other campers enjoy the area, you’ll experience annual events like Utah’s Pioneer Days and Parade, Butch Cassidy Days County Fair and rodeo, 4th of July and parade, all that rural, small town America has to offer.
We have a need for a Camp Host at our very small (10 space) rv park located in Junction, Utah on US 89.
We are open for five months a year, approximately mid May to mid October. You would be needed here during that time but you can arrive early and stay late. We provide an RV space, full hook ups (50 or 30 amp electric), propane, wifi internet access, land line phone and a bonus at the end of the season.
We would need someone about 20 hours a week spread over five days (two days off each week). The work would include signing up our guests (many of our guests stay weekly or monthly). You would also handle the phone calls as well as depositing the checks and rent payments at the bank. You would help guests get parked and answer any questions.
You would also be expected to take care of the grounds. We don’t have bathrooms or showers so there would not be any janitorial work. You will need to keep the laundry room clean but you will be able to use it at no charge. The property consists of 10 spaces on about a 1/2 acre of land. We don’t have much grass but the job would include mowing (we have a small riding mower and a gas powered push mower), weeding (and spraying for weeds), general clean up (pick up twigs, small branches, etc), watering the grass and bringing trash to the nearby city dumpster.
Since you would be receiving space and utilities only (and bonus at the end of the season), we would not be sending you a 1099 at the end of the year but you would be covered by our workers comp insurance.
The rv park is located at 6000 feet elevation. Junction, Utah is very small (about 150 residents) but has a gas station and general store. Junction is the County Seat for Piute County. The area is rural but there is a larger town (Richfield, Utah) with a Walmart and Home Depot, hospital and other facilities about 45 miles north. We are located on old US Highway 89 near many national parks and monuments.
