Camp host near Grand Canyon/Flagstaff April 1

Job Overview: We are a family-owned small campground 23 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona, on the way to the Grand Canyon. We are open year round and have 11 spaces. We are looking for a camp host(s) with a positive attitude, great people skills and maintenance abilities. Position is available April 1; length of position is negotiabl​​e.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Emergency Response – Respond quickly and competently in emergency situations. Examples include calling 911, extinguishing fires, starting up the generator during power outages, reconnecting the modem, restarting the water pump, and communicating with guests about outages or emergencies 
  • Assisting guests with check-in and any problems that arise during their stay, enforcing camp rules including fire bans, leash rules, dumpster rules, noise rules, etc.
  • Watering, weeding, picking up trash and tumbleweeds, monitoring dumpster
  • Maintenance, minor repairs and record keeping; monitoring cameras, reporting suspicious activity to owners and/or police

Pay & Schedule

  • On call 5 days a week Saturday-Wednesday, 4 p.m.- 9 a.m.  (Thursday, Friday OFF)
  • Lot rent paid (includes water, 50 amp elec, sewer, great wifi thru Starlink, garbage, covered patio with outdoor kitchen, trails nearby, swim spa coming soon!)

Qualifications:

    • Will need your own self-contained RV or tiny home in good working order, 2016 or newer preferred unless it has updated wiring
    • Prior RV campground management experience a plus but not required. Couples and individuals are welcome to apply. 
    • Skilled with power tools, computers/smartphones, customer service. Carpentry, plumbing and general maintenance knowledge are preferred. 
    • Ideal candidates will follow directions, have communication and problem solving skills, positive attitude and experience with a wide variety of maintenance situations. 
    • We are looking for people who do what they say they are going to do, who keep their word and do their work with pride, integrity and a great attitude. 
    • Work references required.
