Company Description

Great Holiday Campgrounds is an Alaskan Owned company providing Recreation Management Services to the State of Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation. Since 2010 GHC has managed ‘The Bigs’: Big Lake North, Big Lake South, and Rocky Lake, under Permit for the State of Alaska. In 2014 GHC began operating Matanuska Lakes State Recreation Area* and King Mountain State Recreation Site.

In October 2020 we were excited to be awarded the contract to operate Susitna Landing from the Alaska Department of Fish & Game. Located at mile 82.3 of the Parks Hwy at the end of Susitna Landing Rd. Susitna Landing is open year around and is the only facility we operate offering electrical hook ups for campers.

All of our campgrounds are staffed with on-site Hosts throughout the camping season, May 15-September 15, who will answer your questions, take reservations, and sell firewood.
